Introducing the new image of Cemento Moctezuma
"Cementos Moctezuma is renewing the image of its flagship product to improve its market presence."

After 10 years, Cementos Moctezuma is renewing the image of its flagship product, inspired by pre-Hispanic Mexican motifs that will help to improve its market presence.

Bricklayers represent a very important segment in Mexico, and packaged cement accounts for about 65% of the total industry sales in the country.

Additionally, the Mexican market has been characterized by being highly competitive; and the buying decision of the end consumer (self-builder, master builder, bricklayer, etc.) is largely influenced by the brand and the cultural identity of the cement

Because of this, the package represents a powerful promotion, distribution and sales tool that can become a competitive advantage by differentiating the product from the competition.

Due to the above, Cementos Moctezuma decided to completely renew the image of the bags for the different types of products that it markets, taking as a foundation the most representative elements of Mexican tradition and the historical legacy of its name: Moctezuma, who was the greatest emperor of the Aztec empire during the pre-Columbian period

This is also aligned with the design of Mexican motifs that have been painted on the mixer units of its sister company, Concretos Moctezuma. This clearly results in a unique competitive advantage for Corporación Moctezuma, differentiating it from the rest of its competitors in Mexico.

The image that Cementos Moctezuma will be projecting inside the market will be one of national pride and of being a leading company.

The graphic elements of the Aztec culture by which these 3 designs are inspired are:

• Quetzalcoatl (which literally means feathered snake and which was considered the highest deity) for the 30 CPC and all its variants

• The Golden Eagle (symbol of courage and power, as well as a good omen) for Mortero

• The Coyote (wild animal that was considered the god of war) for Cemento Blanco

By printing these prehispanic elements on its bags, Cementos Moctezuma evokes Mexican tradition, belonging, pride, strength and originality inside the market; which will represent a watershed in the Mexican industry.
